Short Story, Brief Introduction

I was born in Sergiev- Posad , Russia . 

At the age of 16 y.o.(in 2011) I moved to Toronto , Canada where I got my education and great cultural life experience.I believe that education doest signify that you are a good artist ,on the other hand good life experience and long art practice does, which I now can proudly say I have. 

 When I was studying programming in 2012 I started drawing and switched my whole education plan . I got my certificate in Foundation of Art and Design in Durham College, afterwards I got my BFA (Bachelors Diploma) at OCAD University in Drawing and Painting and Printmaking as minor. After my graduation I have wanted to teach therefore I got my first Job as Education Officer at AGO(Art Gallery of Ontario).

 After one year of working in the museum and occasional personal & group  art exhibits  I wanted to turn more focus toward my own art practice. I wanted to spend more time in my private studio downtown Toronto and focus on drawing and painting and creating and see where it leads me. 

I started tattooing in 2018 and thats when my dive into my arts practice began. Besides pure creation I had a chance of working with thousands of people. It was truly cultural experience. My art has transformed from being a mere drawing/painting on paper into art therapy and work with human body.  

My work has always been a product of its environment. The bitter sweet mimicry of conscious and subconscious;  known and the unknown; within and without. As an artists we react through our work. That is said a brief description of my work - a reaction , response to the world that I came in contact with so far.

Some of my work has been inspired by my clients and is mere expression to their idea. I find it refreshing to be working on custom designs with my clients (we can call this intimate group work). As an artist I always in the learning stage as I learn from others and the world around me :be it the students in the museum or private clients in my studio. I am grateful for this given life experience . 

Shall I say " Show must go on.

As of summer 2023 I am back in Moscow Russia. After 12 years of working in Canada I felt like I needed  a change of picture/ environment in order for my creative practice to grow . This will be a new chapter for which I am very excited.
